A christmas witness movie cast11/21/2023 Other big names to have come to the agency in the past year including Regina Hall, Ken Jeong, William H. IAG has been on a signing spree of late, having also brought in such in-demand actors as Scott Foley, Sonequa Martin-Green and Sarah Shahi, along with writer-producers Patrick Massett & John Zinman (Gold, Friday Night Lights). Most recently seen opposite Angela Bassett as firefighter Lucy Donato on Fox’s popular procedural 9-1-1, Kebbel continues to be represented by Untitled Entertainment, Vision PR, and Hanson, Jacobson, Teller. She also starred in Fifty Shades franchise closer Fifty Shades Freed and has been seen in films like The Uninvited, The Grudge 2, Think Like a Man, and Aquamarine, along with such indies as Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best, I Melt with You starring Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven, and Supporting Characters with Lena Dunham. On the big screen, Kebbel has recently been seen in the final three installments of the popular After series of YA romantic dramas, based on the novels by Anna Todd: After We Fell, After Ever Happy, and After Everything. The actress has also been seen on shows like UnREAL, Gilmore Girls, Grand Hotel, Life Unexpected, Grounded for Life, The League, The Grinder, and 90210, among others. Previously, she’s held prominent roles on HBO’s Ballers opposite Dwayne Johnson, as well as the NBC series Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector and Midnight, Texas. Kebbel is perhaps most familiar to television audiences given her role on the aforementioned CW show, in which she played the charismatic and wise-beyond-her-300 years vampire, Lexi Branson. It’s like, ‘Oh, I fell in love with the Prince of Monte Carlo! Oh, but there was some trivial misunderstanding and now we broke up! Oh, but now it turns out we cleared it up and we’ll get married!’ It’s all so vapid.” Most Christmas movies are just too saccharine for my taste. See my comments about pantomime in the Christmas Crush review.” You watch it because you want to see a cozily familiar drama performed by likable characters. You don’t go watching a Christmas movie in the hopes that you’ll discover some sort of edgy, avant-garde experimental film. “Well, yeah and I’d be lying if I said it’s not. She and Dean do a lot of verbal sparring at first, which makes sense, but then gradually they bond over little things, like a shared love of old horror movies.” She’s not just waiting around for a prince to sweep her off her feet like many of the female characters in these kinds of movies. ![]() Jessie Temple is a tough, no-nonsense cop assigned to protect witness Dean Cupo until he can testify. “It really comes down to the relationship between the protagonists. So, why do you think this movie is so good?” The jokes in it come from the awkward conversations and ironic coincidences. “Well, Christmas Crush does have a very millennial sense of humor to it, which I think may not be for everyone. “But last year you said the same thing about Christmas Crush, and one of your friends saw it on your recommendation and thought it was terrible!” Some are better than others, and this is one of the best.” ![]() “I know, but what can I say? I enjoy them. “But Berthold, this is one of those made-for-TV Christmas movies!”
